START OF RAMADAN

Start of Ramadan

Madina Masjid is pleased to announce that 1st Ramadan will begin on Friday 24 April 2020. May Allah make this a blessed month for all of us, especially as we face the unprecedented restrictions of the COVID19 lockdown. You can download a copy of the Ramadan Timetable via this link.

Iftar

We normally offer Iftar very evening at Madina Masjid, but unfortunately due to lockdown we will not be providing iftar this year.

Zakat al Fitr

This year Zakat al Fitr has been set at £5, and should be paid for each and every member of the family, including children.

Zakat al Fitr can be paid from the beginning of Ramadan; we advise people to do so as early as possible, ideally before the 20th of Ramadan (13th May 2020) to make it easier to reach the needy recipients in time.

You won’t be able to pay at the Masjid because of the closure, so make sure you fulfil your obligation for Zakat al Fitr before the end of Ramadan. You can pay your Zakat al Fitr to Madina Masjid online here.

Give your first Sadaqah of Ramadan now!

The closure of the Mosque has badly affected the Mosque’s income, so we need your generous donations more than ever. May Allah reward you many times over for all that you give for His sake. Donate here.
